Our Journey
We started out as flatmates that live in the same dorm. After a few potluck cooking sessions and binge movie nights we realized we shared a lot in common, the most important of them being our experience of being away from home for the first time and that would eventually pave the way for this blog.
It all really started out with the 3 of us taking turns deciding on what to do when we had no plans for the weekend. From ice-skating to rock climbing, from painting workshops to stand-up comedy nights there was always something fun to do to take our minds of the stresses of uni with all their assignment deadlines, exam prep, internship applications which was just the tip of the iceberg.
One day, we had just gotten back from a pub hop and started reminiscing on how great of time we have together (as one tends to do at 2am 😂). We had made so many memories an honestly it was the highlight of our time so far.
Then Ada yells "The world needs to know!!!!"
Not sure that statement really made any sense as she said it, but with further elaboration, we did realize that there are probably other uni students like us who have left home for the first time, feeling the stresses of uni and just want to rewind during the weekends but arent sure how to or are too lazy to always have to come up with ideas on how to spend their weekends. They too could benefit from a system where everyone takes chances to find something fun to indulge in, meet new people, explore new places.
And thus Weekend Buzzz was born!!!
