Meet the Makers

Adaeze Heya! I'm Adaeze, but you can call me Ada. I'm 21 and originally from the bustling city of Lagos, Nigeria. Right now, I'm in my final year of studying Computer Science at the University of Warwick in the UK, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s next! 🎉 Growing up in Lagos, I was part of a close-knit family that valued education and tradition. My parents always emphasized the importance of academic excellence, which pushed me to excel in school and eventually earn a scholarship to study Computer Science in the UK. While my primary focus has been on my studies, living abroad has opened me up to incredible new cultural experiences that have totally broadened my horizons. 🌍 I’m a curious introvert with a quick wit and a friendly attitude. My diligence and discipline have helped me excel academically, but I'm always ready to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new experiences. These adventures have really shaped who I am and what I love to do. 😊 Speaking...

As I wandered through the maze of cobblestone streets and towering warehouses, a sense of déjà vu washed over me. It was as if I had stepped onto the set of a blockbuster movie. But this was no ordinary movie set. Liverpool's Stanley Dock had hosted some of Hollywood's biggest productions, transforming into everything fro...

A Legendary night out party in Nottingham

We’ve all seen parties of epic proportions in American movies like 21 Jump Street, luckily for you choosing to study in the United Kingdom we get to experience 18 Jump Street. Which, truth be told is far closer, but also far better. What If I told you that these mythical parties are real and that they take place every week on a Wednesday in the home of Robin Hood, Nottingham. These are the Wednesday Ocean Night out parties! Every Wednesday during term time, with a finale ocean at the end of each term and a super finale ocean at the end of the final term. Prep As we wrap up lectures at 3pm on a Wednesday. Emily asks the coveted question: You wanna go to Ocean? I enthusiastically reply, hell yeah! I scroll through my phone to find tonight’s theme, it’s the 80s an easy one to be sure. Me and Emily rush to the shops to grab drinks and straight home to get dressed. I opt for a £4 bottle of red wine after all I like the feeling and not the taste of alcohol. Whereas Emily opts for a 1 litre...
